Employee Spotlight- Fred Ethridge
Fred grew up in Hartwell, Georgia, and spent most of his summers as a teen working on his grandfather’s farm. In high school he played all sports including football, basketball and baseball and earned a football scholarship to Furman University where he played quarterback. After college, Fred signed a minor league contract with the Boston Red Sox and played for 2 years. From these endeavors, he learned the meaning of hard work and dedication. He spent the first 22 years of his working career in banking, moving from teller to loan officer to VP of Operations to President/CEO. Fred is a graduate of the Georgia Banking School and the LSU Graduate School of Banking. In the ‘80s, he also organized denovo banks in Alpharetta and Decatur. After his banking career, he worked 13 years for InterCept and now 10 years with CashTrans, selling processing solutions and hardware products to banks and credit unions. He is devoted to and works hard at building a trusting relationship with all clients.
